PC Load Letter I have to do TPS reports for my job. Well, i mean, they really aren't TPS reports... they're actually flow charts and planning to plan worksheets and, uh... it doesn't really matter. I uh, I don't like my job, and, uh, I don't think I'm gonna go anymore. Individual Post | Comments (2) | TrackBack (0) 00:08 0409.26 Pseudoweekend Pseudoupdate The weekend isn't over, but I'm updating anyway. Hence the title. Thursday night was the second Knights mixer-- Hip Hop theme. I kicked it endostyle all over that piece. You know how we do. Yo yo, this is your home boy DJ HREF representing the B-Money Records family. We only drink the finest San Pellegrino and rock the tightest Sambas. Don't step to us when we roll through your crib in our phat Passat wagon, else we'll have to rise up and get our cap peelin' on. Czech dat. Am Freitag, I got over my delusions of rapper stardom and went to class. After that I think I hung out with Cara and the Megs. I can't quite remember. No, wait, we had to have, since the plan to go to Little Rock am Samstag was hatched Freitagabend. I think the Freitagaushangung (yes, that's "Friday out-hangage", don't mock my mad German skillz) consisted of going to Mall-wart, amongst other things. In a fashion fitting good ol' Jermaine Dupri, Saturday was, once again, off the heezy for sheezy. Woke up at about noon, got dressed, ended up going to lunch with Cara in Beebe, of all places (we wanted to go to the Greek restauraunt there, but it was closed). We hit up a greasy-spoon type place. Had a very quality patty melt and some not-particularly-sugary cole slaw. Such a tasty! After that, I went to the car wash, since tehre was abunch of pollen residue all over my Passat and I couldn't have any of that. One of Cara's friends is loaning her a bass guitar, so we went to his apartment to pick it up. Cara and I and another friend, Tyler, proceeded to hang out in the Armstrong lobby for a while. Somewhere in there I got a call from Church Secretary Miss Dawn, who was down here visiting her daughter, and who had brought me some stuff from the Units-- real chex mix, some disposable cereal bowls that don't suck, mandarin oranges and... a case of 12 750mL bottles of SAN PELLIGRINOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Oh my goodness. And these aren't the regular (500mL) bottles of SPG, either-- these are big honking ones that are vaguely reminescent of a 40 oz. of malt liquor, a perennial rapper favorite. Finally, the Megs got off of work and guitar practice, so her and Cara and I all went to Little Rock for dinner. There's a Fazzoli's down there, and since it's good quality stuff, and also far far away from Searcy, we hit that thing up. Afterwards, we went to the mall and didn't do much. Somehow we ended up at Thanks a Latte, a kafehaus on the West side of Searcy. Didn't stay there for very long, as it was too crowded. However, a bunch of the Knights dudes were there and called me out and said hello and talked and whatnot, so, yeah, that's what I'm talking about right there. Then, I came back to my room and did some work on the new benjies frontpage. It's gonna be awesome. Also, pants. OMGWTFLOLBBQ Individual Post | Comments (1) | TrackBack (0) 08:00 0409.21 Don't Lose your Memory Cards... ... because if you do, some dude will find 'em in the back of a taxi, post all the pictures to the web on sequential basis, and write fictional commentary about them. Really. I'm not joking. Individual Post | Comments (2) | TrackBack (0) 09:35 0409.20 Taking a Break Skipped Chapel today, since my HIST 110 (SI) class is in exam today, and I'm skipping it too as I'm not sitting a test I took last semester for 50 minutes of sub-wage. Not that I'd actually be allowed to sit the test, anyhow. This weekend was crazy. Have I posted anything about this weekend already? My last post was Freitagmorgen, so... anyhow. Yeah. Freitagabend I took an excessively easy test in Acts of the Apostles (oh my goodness), finished off a novel, had dinner. Megs mentioned the fact that they were going to play the film Sandlot out at the Baseball field, went out there with her and Mr. Snodgrass and Jared and assorted other people. They were playing the thing off a 35mm projector, which was quite a sight. Also, Sandlot is one of the best movies ever. After that, they started playing an older baseball movie, The Natural with Robert Redford, but I wasn't really following the movie, and Molly Morris called me during the middle of it, so I left the field. We were going to do something, but didn't for one reason or another. Called Shaner up, he was over in West Marrieds watching Office Space with Cara and a bunch of the Shanerfriends, so I popped over there and watched the remainder of it (from Tom's party onward -- "You know, minimum security prison is no picnic."). Although previously I said I had had dinner, it was actually a bowl of rice krispies, and the only thing I had had the entire day (outside of soem peanuts whilst I was reading), so I was really freaking hungry. I stated as such, and Cara, Shaner, and several of the Shanerfriends implied that they wanted to come with, but after about 15 mintues of them being indecisive, Cara and I left by ourselves, striking out to fulfill one of my favorite and most cherished rap maxims-- After the party, it's the Waffle House,Got some food there, Megs showed up, we stayed till about 0045. It was most excellent. Came back to the room, went to sleep. Ah, Samstag. Woke up noonish, putzed around on the net till about three, then went off to Lowe's to by wood to put up shelves in my closet to put my plastic shelves on (yeah, that made sense). So, then I came back and, well, I can't remember what happened till about 10 PM. Czeching my AIM logs doesn't help, either, but I did find something pretty funny from Saturday when I was putzing around on the net: Yeah, anyhow, at 2230ish I ended up at Waffle House again with Cara and some of her buddies. Ye Megs was scheduled to appear, put apparently isntead visited people that are better than us.undegaussable (14:03:11): have you bought a legally sanctioned stockpile of assault rifles yet? Cheezdom (14:03:24): No, but we can now? undegaussable (14:03:33): yeah there was this 10 year ban enacted in 1994 Cheezdom (14:03:36): I think I should go to wal-mart and stock up on my stockpiling undegaussable (14:03:40): and that's all that was keeping people from selling assault rifles undegaussable (14:03:43): and it ran out last week Cheezdom (14:03:47): Oh, dude Cheezdom (14:03:57): I've always wanted an UMP undegaussable (14:04:04): i want a para undegaussable (14:04:07): b-5-1 Cheezdom (14:04:21): Steyr AUG undegaussable (14:04:27): go go go undegaussable (14:04:35): also, Firefox 1.0 is awesome if you don't have it yet Cheezdom (14:04:39): Also, of course, I'd need a Mac 10 for my street cred Came back home, went to bed. Sontagmorgen saw me taking Megs, Cara, and one of the dudes from the previous night's Wafflenhäuserung to church, whcih was a lot of singing and pretty quality. Paul 'Colonel' Kurtz (who isn't fat and bald like ol' Fred Mertz) said some nice stuff. Went to the Caf for lunch-- Jared pointed out that Caf food's visual appeal is inversely proportional to it's palatibility. Atrocious looking rice casserole? Tasty. Appealing steamed carrot medallions? Revolting. Took a nap Sontagnachmittag. Hung out with Chris Kirk and his RA roomate after that, playing three-handed spades. It was vastly superior to that Euchre crap. Downtowned it in the evening; ran into Brett Keller afterwards, acted like a total idiot. It's the Brett Keller Syndrome thing, see! Whatever. Den afta dat, Chris Tiberius Kirk and I 'studied' for our History 102 class, and had some pizza for (a late) dinner. Went to bed. Woke up Guy Montag, started writing this. Also, I got winamp 5 over the weekend, and have been toying around with this media library thing that they've added to it. I know most of the other commercial digital media players have this feature, I'm not sure I like it so much yet. However, the one objectively good thing I can say about it is that it found that I have an entire Jason Mraz CD lying in some folder I never use (The default windows 'My Music' thing) with totally random filenames (but with relevant ID3 tags). They're all 128KB/s non-LAME MP3s; I wonder where they came from. He's petty good though, even if his use of synchopation is almost gimmicky. Individual Post | Comments (2) | TrackBack (0) 09:09 0409.17 HAHE ROBBLE ROBBLE 8D So, I had this dream last night. I can't remember much of it, but it seems to have revolved around an organized crime syndicate headed by the Hamburglar. Oh my goodness. That's about it. Individual Post | Comments (2) | TrackBack (0) 23:50 0409.14 Artsy Fartsy I made a collage today out of some old Economists, a Continental in-flight magazine, and an old Hertz map of the Southern United states. I don't normally express myself artistically, but I've got to say in my own nonobjective opinion, the thing is pretty quality. It's hanging over my bed rigth now; I hope I put enough hanging tape on it, otherwise, I'm getting a mouthful of posterboard tonight while I'm asleep. Individual Post | Comments (2) | TrackBack (0) 00:12 0409.13 WEEKEND UPDATE This weekend had some fun stuff in it. On Friday was the Honors Picnic. Had some food, hung out with Molly Morris and some of her freshmen buddies for a while, won some crap off of Dr. Elrod, spent the rest of the time hanging out with people my age and engaging in a dart-gun versus disc-shooter war versus Brett Keller. Pretty quality. Saturday I don't remember too much of. Perhaps it was just the nasty air here (I've been sneezing nonstop for the past few weeks), but my thought patterns were extremely... foggy, I guess... for the entire day, and have been somewhat for the past several. I do remember that I somehow ended up navigating the backroads around Searcy at about 6 PM. It was all dead reckoning since none of the roads are orderly or straight like they are in the Northwest Ordinance states (that is, Flatland), and it was totally awesome. Of course the John Mayer CDs only enhanced the quality of said travel. Sunday I went to church with Megs and her roomate Cara, which was pretty good. Went with them to El Pueblito for lunch. Enchiladas Verdes as usual. Didn't do much worthwhile this afternoon. Megs was saying something about wanting to go home this weekend, so I'm going to see how that goes.
