HYPER MEGA WEEKEND WHATEVER
Heidy-ho, campers. Remember when I used to do late Monday night updates about the weekend and said Monday, and then write another upadate on Tuesday about how I forgot to go to Student Council? Mmmm. Now, it's like three days late or something.

So, on Friday, instead of having Honors NT, we had chili for lunch over at Dr. Cochran's house. He's such a nice guy, you know. It was pretty darn tasty, and we had cornbread, too. I had sweet tea, because I didn't want to have water, and apparently nobody drinks carbonated beverages at home down here. That is some whacky stuff, that sweet tea-- even with all that sugar, it's still bitter. Oh well. Did I mention that Dr. Cochran is a nice guy? Also, cornbread.

I don't think we really did anything Friday night. I think I slept, or something. Mmm, sleep.

Samstag rocked. Dude, it was so awesome. It was totally sweet. Dusty and Zach and Megan and Dan and myself went to Little Rock to celebrate my birthday (a week late), and it was totally awesome. We went to dinner at the Outback in North Little Rock, which was such a tasty. Took some pictures; I'll have them up when I get back home, since the Internet here sucks like school.

After that, we went to go see The Last Samurai at a theater in Little Rock called The Rave, which is like the awesomest theater ever. I really don't understand why it's in some nowheresville like Little Rock. Enormous amount of screens, stadium seating, etc.

By the way, that movie is incredibly awesome. If you haven't already seen it-- I hate you, and the only way you can make it up is to drop everything and see it right now. I mean, it's just unimaginably awesome. So awesome, I'm no longer looking forward to watching The Return of the King so much anymore. The first two LotR movies were awesome, but, you know, every other movie that came out during that time frame pretty much blew, so there was no real comparison. RotK will have to be like four times the awesome of the other two movies put together to have the general awesomeosity of the previous ones, due to the context of The Last Samurai. I bet that last sentence didn't make any sense. Tee-hee.

Sunday was fun. Absolutely nobody-- not me, not Dan, not Megan, not even Lance-- woke up to go to church for some reason, so I hit it up in the evening and such. The rest of that day was spent not doing much, because there's never much to do on Sundays-- the Caf has really stupidly irregular hours, Chik-fil-a is closed, etc, blah blah.

Monday rocked, I think. I busted a cap into my English Final-- everybody seemed to enjoy my reading of my essay, entitled "IS IS", which I will post with all the rest of my homework when the semester ends. My IR test also seemed to go over pretty well, and I knew almost all the vocab terms off the bat, so I'm feeling pretty good about it. I ended up taking a nap at like 6:00 or 7:00, and waking back up at eleven, and ended up watching Pitch Black in crappy fullscreen VHS (it was apparently all Hastings had at the time) with Dusty and Zach. For a Vin Diesel movie, and for a sci-fi movie (as opposed to real science fiction), it was pretty good. I ended up staying up till like three in Dan and Lance's room watching Dan play Sim City 4 as Lance studied for his psych test.

Tuesday was, like the previous days, most excellent, since I didn't have any finals at all, and slept in till like 11:40 or something. When I woke up, though, I found that I had somehow pulled the fitted sheet off my matress, which was really odd. I then went to lunch, and acted a fool all afternoon. Megan brought me her guitar at like 3 or something, since she can't take it home on the plane for lack of proper packaging. For some reason, I carried it around all evening as if it were my baby. I still haven't figured this one out. Watched another Vin Diesel movie, Knockaround Guys, which was okay. But it had the Mafia in it, which made it better. Went to dinner at the Caf with the regular suspects, and the food sucked, unsuprisingly. After that, Dusty and Megan and I all went to the Library to study for Bible tests, which wasn't particularly fun, but, you know, it's all good in the parenthood. After we were all done, I departed back for the dorm while Dusty and Megan went off to suck face for a few minutes, I'm sure. Then everybody studied in Zach's room for a while, and we all got sick of it and ended up making crank phone calls for a few minutes, which we quickly decided was far too juvenile, so we went back to studying, and then I wrote this blog.

The end.

Spanish Birthday
Hola. So, the fifth, as if you didn't all already know, was my birthday, and let me just say, birthday number 19 was the Spanishiest one ever.

Howso? Well, wait just a minute, and I'll get to that eventually. Anyhow, I woke up that morning at 7 to finalize my presentation I had to give in my 1045 on the Chinese manned space program. I decided to wear my new camelhair 3/4 length coat from Banana Republic and the new sweater and blue and white striped shirt my mom got me from J. Crew. Khaki pants, obviously, and MY ADIDAS. Yeah, so, anyway, and one of these premade sandwiches from Wal Mart, a can of fruit medley, a juice box of Juicy Juice apple juice (mmm apple juicy), and a punk like you some dayquil for breakfast.

Went to chapel. Funny speaker. Then French class, had a test in there, whipped that fool into shape I'm sure.

And then, zee presentation. I think I whipped that fool into shape, too. I'll post it later, or something.

After that was Spanish class, where we went over some random fun nitpicky stuff, I'm sure. But this wasn't why my birthday was Spanish. Oh no.

Bible was great-- Chris and Allen gave a presentation on 2 Peter and Jude of which apparently half they wrote in the wee hours of the morning and was subsequently hillarious (in a good way). International Relations was spiff as usual, had a quiz in there which I'm sure I whipped into shape, being a fool and all.

Oh but then came the Spanish. I had procrastinated and not taken three proficiency quizzes until the last day possible,a nd was in the Foreing Language Department Office until about four thirty. Man, was that ever Spanishy. One of the other dizzles in there with me also was born that day, although a few years ealier, so we were both pretty stoked about that, or something.

So, I go to the mailroom, because obviously I'm going to have some mail-- it's my birthday, dangit! So, I get two things in my box-- a funny card from Aaron, and a package slip.

Retrieving the package, I find it's from the Gap. Ah, I think, it's one of those nice striped shirts I asked for. I open the package and yank out the invoice-- Yup, French Blue Striped XXL Poplin Straight Collar Shirt, woo-hoo.

Oh ho ho, wait a minute there buster, that's just the invoice. Time to grab the shirt out of the bag. So, I reach down in there, feel the plasic wrap it's covered in, and pull it out.

Wait a minute indeed. What I take out of the bag is no French Blue Striped XXL Poplin Straight Collar Shirt.

It's flannel pyjammas. Snowflackes and Snowmen. Pink. Girls Size 10.

BUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Somebody sure screwed up in the Gap shipping department! This is the best present ever!

Or something.

Anyhow, I bask in the reflected glory of the pyjammas beofr egoing to the student center, where I know Ivan is, and hanging out with him and the Latinos for a few hours to conclude my birthday, since Dan and Aaaron were out of town, Steven and Timmy were at a Chi Sig function, and Dusty and Megan's whereabouts were unknown at the time to me. It was fun, though. He and I came back to the room at about 12:15 and ordered some pizza (timestamp on the box: 12:27 AM fuahahaha) before trying to watch The Royal Tennenbaums and falling asleep in the process.

Oh yeah, czech out and enjoy some pics of the pyjammas and my flashy outfit here: http://www.iaatb.net/pics/1205

They're like 'he da man' when I'm really a Thundercat
Well, well, well, Ivan's up past midnight for once, so it's time for me to blog. Yee-haw.

Yeah, so, Thanksgiving break rocked-- food, Zionsville, friends, Zionsville food, ... friendly Zionsville food... uh, yeah, something. Some of the old crew got together at the Hizzouse and played some pool and the like-- Seamus, per usual, was 'late'. Too bad Nazzy's out at Caltech. Oh well, I guess we can do stuff at the next breakage.

Flew back to college-- ended up in First Class somehow (thanks Dad) which is always excellent, since they serve food and beverage there no matter how short the flight may or may not be, and with real glasses (yee-haw). I took pics of this before, so you can refer to those, since the clie's batteries were about dead after a week without recharge.

Rode a shuttle back from the airport which Zach aka Bluntman (don't ask XD XD) serindipitously was on, that was fun. The driver was a nice Arkansan due, probably about 35 or 40, and a minister at whichever one of the evangelical churches that calls such folk 'pastors'. He was relating some experiences he'd had with the kids in the front of the van, and, while I don't get into that whole 'emotional' 'testimonial' 'semimiraculous' whatever side of religiosity or spirituality or whatever, I enjoyed listening to it.

Zach, on the way back, alerted me to the fact that there's a new Beatles album out, boys and girls. Apparently, it's raw tracks or something of Let it Be but I haven't really done any research on it. Just so you know, I'm all for giving Paul McCartney more money, especially now that he's gotten at least some of the Beatles' publishing rights away from Jacko, IIRC.

Dude, so I've had this cold kind of thing since Saturday, with random (and exciting! not really) symptoms, and today they decided to manifest themselves as hoarseness and a nasal leak. I mean, it wasn't even as if I had a runny nose, it was just as if my tear ducts decided to-day they were going to vent down those nasal passages for some reason or another. What a bunch of crap, man.

So, to cure this, I went to the Wonderful World of Wally this afternoon with Dusty and Zach. Most expensive wall-mart run ever, tipping the scales at a whopping sixty dollars and twenty-five cents. I needed some paper towels, kleenex, and toilet paper, as well as some rations so I can stay away from the caf for a while. Dusty showed me these sandwich packs, one of which I had for dinner, and they're quite delcicious, and probably maybe even nutritious. Oh, also, I bought a Frank Sinatra Christmas CD, some Dayquil and a 125-count of Tylenol, since it was the same price as the hundredcount. What I'm going to with that last odd pill nobody knows.

What I do know now though is that Dayquil contains acetomeniphen, and fortunately I consulted the packaging for both medicines before taking any, since one sisn't supposed to take a double-dose of that stuff. So, I just went for the dayquil and some flonase -- along with an allegra, some pepto-bismol tablets and a Flintsones' Vitamin for good measure -- skipped the tylenol and took a nap. I also had that Chicken Salad Sandwich (did I mention it was suprisingly tasty? probably) and some Dole Pine-Orange-Banana with it, since I figured that was a bit too much for an empty stomach.

Woke up at like 8:30 or 9, went to Dusty's and played some Vice CIty for a while. Then we decided to watch this one movie, Pumpkin, which almost seemed the whole way like it was going to be awesome biting ironic sarcastic satirical parody, but it never quite made it, which means that it is, instead, just a piece of crap. Then again, the DVD was scratched so we didn't see like the last five minutes, so maybe it resolved itself in way that it met those previous expectations. Oh well.

I'm going to go to bed now, or something.
